Our system offers significant advantages such as portability, rapid measurement, robustness, compactness, and reduction of the volume of sample to realize the recognition. 

Potentiometric assays using biosensors rely on recording the difference in potential dynamic, and these determinations are applicable in food quality monitoring, environmental monitoring and disease detection.

Potentiometric measurements are applied to the determination of many organic and inorganic compounds (sugars, urea, antibiotics, neurotransmitters, pesticides, carbon dioxide and many other ionic species).  

How it works

Potentiometric biosensors are developed by combining a biorecognition element (enzyme, bacteria, mammalian cells, antibodies) to an electrochemical potential transducer.

The analytical signal generated by a potentiometric biosensor is an electrical potential capable to measure from B.EL.D™ device. 

Current laboratory partnerships

We have partnered with the Laboratory of Cellular Technology of the Agriculture University of Athens and the Biotechnology and Food sciences Laboratory of Cyprus University of Technology by providing to them the B.EL.D™ technology for the purpose of their R&D projects.
