How it works
The CovBELD (CoronaVirus BELD) test is a cell-based assay that qualitatively detects the S1 spike protein antigen from SARS-CoV-2 in oral swab specimens sustained in viral transport media. The antigen is detected during the acute phase of the infection from the upper respiratory tract of affected individuals.
The detection of the antigen delivers a positive result on the application.
Clinical correlation with patient history and other diagnostic information is required to determine infection status.
